Nativity has a lot of fun events going on this week to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. Here are the events we have planned:
- Kick-off Rally — at 1:30 pm in the schoolyard, all honor students as well as those who participate in extra curricular school-related activities will be recognized
- Students are encouraged to wear clothing that represents our school colors (blue and gold)
- Family Picnic Day — All parents are invited to accompany their children at the picnic, held in the school lunch areas from 12:00-1:00 (may be postponed if it rains)
- College/Career Day — Students may wear a sweatshirt or jersey of their favorite college or university. Students may also opt to come dressed in the attire of the future career
- All classes will make a banner with the theme “Catholic Schools Raise the Standards” to be displayed outside their classrooms
- Sports Day — Students may wear their favorite team or player sport jersey. They can also wear jeans.
- Wacky Wednesday — Teachers will switch grades for 45 minutes; the students will be suprised to see who’s teaching them!
- Literacy Day — Students may wear comfortable clothing, such as pajamas or sweats, for enjoyable reading
- Teacher Appreciation Day — This is a chance for students or parents to show appreciation to our teachers
- Funny Hat/Silly Socks/Crazy Hairdo Day — no permanent hair dye allowed
- Free Dress Day Fundraiser — Students can pay $1 to be able to wear free dress. All money raised will be sent to the Catholic Education Foundation
- Closing Ceremony — At 1:30 all grades will be competing against each other in various games/events on the playground
