Good morning parents,
I pray this email finds you and your loved ones well and safe.
Yesterday was Mother’s Day. Moms, we hope that yesterday and all days you feel appreciated, loved, and valued. Thank you for all that you do for your children.
I write to inform you all of an update shared with principals this past weekend. As shared with you all several weeks ago, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles was hopeful that we would be able to return to school at some point before the end of the school year. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Therefore, distance learning will continue until the last day of school which is Friday, June 19th. The official letter from our Superintendent, Mr. Paul Escala is attached below.
I am aware that many events will be impacted by this decision. Please know that we are working diligently to make new arrangements and will communicate such new arrangements as soon as possible. At the top of our list of events is First Communion, which would have taken place this upcoming Saturday. If your child is affected by this, you are asked to join us for a First Communion Parent Meeting this Thursday (link can be found directly on May’s calendar).
Finally, please keep with your tuition payments as it is an annual agreement and as student learning continues. Should you have any questions or if you find yourself experiencing any hardships, please do not hesitate to contact me via email or through phone. Should you need to meet with me, please call the office to make an appointment. I am happy to accommodate in-person and/or Zoom meetings.
Parents, please know that we are in this together. This reality of distance learning is only temporary and we will be back together before we know it. We’ve got this! You are not alone :-)
In the meantime, stay safe, stay home, and stay blessed!
God bless,
Mrs. Teresa Reynoso-Gonzalez, M.Ed.
Nativity School Principal
